Instruments should have qualities special and distinctive unto themselves. If they are new they should be like no other, if they are repaired or restored they should feel reborn, and if they are legacy instruments they should invoke a family history. Violin and guitar making is a unique skill and art. This is what my work as a luthier is all about.
